IP Configuration Tool

SoftJin’s IP Configuration tool is an EDA component which aids an FPGA designer to configure third party IP’s and use them in a FPGA design flow. Third party IP’s play an important role in today’s FPGA design helping the designers to meet the time to market and cost challenges. However, it is time consuming process to configure a generic IP according to the specifications of a design. IP configuration tool simplifies the designer effort in using the third party IP’s in the design.

  • IP Catalogue - IP Catalogue lists the various ready made third party IP’s available. The IP’s are categorized based on their functionality. IP catalogue can be edited by any designer using the simple text interface provided by the tool.
  • Configuration wizard - Configuration wizard is a user friendly GUI to configure the parameters of the IP. A step by step approach with intuitive sub wizards and questionnaires help the designer to specify the configurable parameters. Verilog code is generated for the configured IP, which can be plugged into the design.
